Fast and Fine processing stays in your browser
In Fast and Fine modes, Purgebg decodes and processes it inside your web browser. The image and generated mask are not sent to a Purgebg image-processing server. Temporary previews use local browser object URLs and are released when you replace or reset an image or close the page.
Batch and API cloud processing
Batch and developer API requests are cloud workflows. Images are sent over an encrypted connection to Purgebg. High-confidence logos, signatures, stamps, scans, and light-background graphics are processed by Purgebg's specialist route; other supported images may be sent to Kie.ai for Recraft background removal. Kie.ai may retain files temporarily under its current service and privacy policies. Do not submit sensitive or prohibited material.
Accounts and payments
If you register, we store the account and credit information needed to operate the service. Creem handles checkout, subscriptions, and payment details. Purgebg does not store full payment-card numbers.
Batch and developer API records
Batch processing sends each selected image through the disclosed cloud path. Developer API requests create operational records such as the account, API-key identifier, file size, credit transaction, timestamp, and result status. Keep API keys private and do not expose them in browser code.
Model files are downloaded
Local processing requires software and machine-learning model files. Your browser downloads those files from Purgebg or a Purgebg-configured asset host. A model download is not an image upload. Browsers may cache model files to make later processing faster.
Website delivery data
Like ordinary websites, the hosting and asset-delivery services may receive technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs. This information supports reliable delivery, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. It is not used to reconstruct the image you process locally.
Cookies and analytics
An account is required to use credits and download a completed Fast or Fine result. Essential cookies may be used for authentication and preferences. Limited technical information may be processed for security, reliability, and aggregate product analytics. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can clear cached model files through your browser’s site-data controls. You can also stop processing by leaving or resetting the editor. Avoid selecting an image if you do not have the right to use it.
Changes and contact
You may request access, correction, or deletion of account data. We may update this policy as the service changes. For privacy questions or requests, email support@purgebg.com.
