Most supported files keep their encoded pixels unchanged. A rotated image that relies on EXIF orientation is re-encoded to preserve its visible direction, so its compression quality or file size can change slightly.
This privacy tool does not remove visible text, logos, signatures, or watermarks from image pixels. It also does not remove C2PA manifests or other unsupported provenance credentials.
A rotated image containing provenance credentials will not be cleaned, because correcting its direction would invalidate or discard those credentials.

No. This metadata-removal tool reads and cleans the image locally in your browser. The selected image and its metadata are not uploaded.
Which metadata does the tool remove?
It removes supported EXIF data such as GPS, device and capture details, plus XMP, IPTC, comments, embedded thumbnails, and privacy-bearing PNG or WebP metadata.
Will removing metadata reduce image quality?
Usually no, because encoded image pixels are preserved. A rotated image that depends on EXIF orientation must be re-encoded to keep the correct direction, which may slightly change quality, compression, or file size.
Does it remove visible watermarks or logos?
No. It does not remove visible text, logos, signatures, or watermarks that are part of the image pixels.
Does it remove C2PA or content credentials?
No. This version does not remove C2PA manifests or other content-provenance credentials. Unsupported provenance information is preserved.
